i got to get under ben during a summer where i spent most of my evenings not letting him come over until i had read x chapters of absalom, absalom!, or x pages of proust or x poems for my class and lived in a co-op where my housemates clapped for the cooks and still was not in love but was still under and now i'm spending the winter having to get over ben by listing the reasons i left him in the fall and feeling thankful that he shaved his head so i can't ever go back to my exboyfriend but only to someone new looking.
