last saturday i fixed my first dinner party in my first apartment and let the garbonzo bean soup that nora's parents once made for me simmer while i put on lipstick and mascara in front of my bathroom mirror and remembered that i didn't have enough spoons or bowls and that i'm only nineteen though lately it seems more like thirty.
