small towns in big cities: Jul. 20, 2007 (11:47 pm)

during daylight, i lay on the couch in our basement reading a la recherche du temps perdu and, at night, i drive to the bars where my friends drink where i buy a five or six dollar glasses of red wine that i don't ever feel over the noise. and sometimes in between, my dad and i walk around our neighborhood and almost never people and almost never see cars except tonight we waved back at jonny (or now, probably jon) on his cell phone on his porch without a shirt with a tan looking like he came back from africa when he probably just came back from the pool which is still a summer entirely foreign from my own spent only one block away.
