reading emerson made me hate organizations. he said that one who is a real man, a real individual could not have his opinions dictated by the consensus. but maybe not all groupings are absurd. sometimes we know something of who we are and we meet others who know something of who they are and sometimes we agree honestly so we coalesce. i am working the office of an environmental organization. sometimes we look away from our computers and telephones and turn our swivvle chairs to the the center of the room to talk about ourselves, because sitting at a desk doesn't change people if it's the right desk.
