tonight i sat cross legged on my brother's bed and read out names of jazz songs from my new book and he dug out records for me. we talked about film and colleges and hugh mcelroy. he's moving soon which sometimes feels ok because he can be mean and he yells and he'll be 25 and a half in 10 days. but then i'll be living with one less person and we get along pretty well sometimes.
