i am on the phone. he says something but his voice sounds deeper than i picture when i talk about the girl who thinks we are having sex because i "really know david combs" so i say, "what?" he says saturday won't work and i say that i can't come over sunday and he says, "what? are we not going to hang out anymore?" and i say, "we'll hang out friday after school." i cough and my voice changes. we both slipslide around. i tell a joke and he says "get out of here...i really have to go." this isn't supposed to be symbolic, or sad. i just wanted to say our voices both change and we both slipslide around. and that i'm tired again.
