when i walked home from last night from the parties on story street and sneaking into the bar on the bottom floor of the hotel my parents sometimes have stayed at when they have come to see me up here and sitting on daniel's dorm room bed and looking at books he leant me when we were in high school, the sky at 4:30am already looked dark blue from the imminent sun rise and i felt curious about and sorry for all of the people i passed driving cars, painting the street wearing orange reflective vests and drinking coffee in window of the all night corner store near my apartment who, also curious and sorry, looked back at me.
