outside the library, i looked up at the smoke i was exhaling and thought of those vague clouds in the harvard sky as evidence of my mark on this university but perhaps the image of me, cigarettes and novels in hand, shows the power of a college in cambridge, massachusetts on an impressionable girl who will always be from washington, dc.
