for a few days while i was packing up two years of accumulations, i lived on matt's couch and would go over around eleven every night and we would watch sports on tv and smoke and talk on the porch during commercial breaks and before i would go to bed every night i would suddenly feel extraordinarily relieved not to have ever had him in that way which all the girls from his high school and i once wanted.
