i visited brett last night for the first time in three weeks, and while he rang me up he told me about visiting new hampshire to see his dying grandfather who did die an hour and a half after brett arrived and we both laughed throughout the story which reminded me of saturday night visiting ian in ian's bed and listening to a story about the client he watched tried to kill herself and finding myself unable to respond to the story and only responding "i like it when you hold me there" to his hand he had kept, moving slightly up and down, at the base of my rib cage.
