last night i slept fine and dreamed of everyone here but you. this morning i picked up the coins that you had dropped all over the floor in front of my bed as you searched to put on pants in the dark after we spent an hour sitting on opposite sides of the bed our bodies covered by the same sheets our eyes fixed on the same illegibly darkened shelf on the far wall and added them to my neat piles separated by type and arranged by value.
