the winter sun's been fooling me and i've been standing outside shivering, uncomfortably finishing uncomfortable conversations with people i miss but can't say a right word to anymore. it was nice sitting shotgun after the show, when the boy at the wheel pulled out a box of granola bars and asked what flavors we wanted. i smiled and told him he reminded me of a soccer mom and we sped into the suburbs listening to new, exciting songs.
