i spent one of the best evenings of my christmas vacation laying flushed on my bed with my headphones cutting into my ears listening to a tape we made. i fell asleep on a hot patio the next day listening to more of your music and later flew home reading your favorite book. i carry people with me on vacations while they are at home distracted, making other plans. mat took my favorite book across the country. so maybe he'll shut it and think slightly of me. that's maybe the worst way to think about someone reading my favorite book but it's nice when people want to know you.
