between the office and the metro and my house and other people's houses i had forgotten about that really ugly grade i expected in english. that exam went poorly. upset afterwords, i imagined worst case scenarios in a hot shower.

i got an A.

i don't get it, but it's true. i doubt myself; it's getting tiresome. i need to be looked in the eye and smiled at. maybe excitement is too much to ask for, but i still like it.
