friday night we were talking about how every musical is just like every other musical. i was thinking about how this new thing i'm working on uses the idea of intellectual diversity from dinner roles which looked topics from weconfess which used the format from femmeproject. and how i slip into david's voice which sounds just like chris's sometimes. and how the path of least resistance that i wrote about was something jake said and also something i heard in a modest mouse album that i saw on a table at his house. i'm not trying to do anything original, i'm trying to do something nice.

the masks that geoff is helping me make look wonderful. he knows a lot about human faces and markers. his voice is in permanent monotone. eli dances around the room trying to impress him. it's kind of sad to watch as geoff draws and listens to the violent femmes and eli says "they were a really great band" like it's a brilliant relevation and geoff just draws something beautiful.
