i was told that one of the last things my grandfather said was, 'i'm not taking any phone calls. all i do is pee.' and then he hung up. my other grandfather used to lay on the couch all day watching the light from the tv color the room. and sometimes i talk to people and they remind me of my grandfathers before they died. and i feel a little like them today.

i used to make them so happy. i still see their faces lit up. it's better to know people who are like that.
